Tranwell-MF tablet
Details and Composition
• Tranexamic Acid (Antifibrinolytic): It works by preventing the breakdown of blood clots. It competitively inhibits the activation of plasminogen to plasmin, an enzyme responsible for dissolving fibrin clots. By stabilizing these clots in the uterine lining, it effectively reduces excessive blood loss.
• Mefenamic Acid (NSAID): It acts as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that blocks the production of prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are chemical messengers that cause uterine contractions, inflammation, and pain. By inhibiting the cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, it alleviates menstrual cramps and reduces overall discomfort.
